This Privacy Policy describes how MatnlaAI ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. By using MatnlaAI, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive the following information from your Google account:
- Your full name
- Email address
- Profile picture URL
- Google account ID
1.2 User Content
To generate subtitles, the App requires access to:
- Video files you select from your device's storage or gallery
- Generated subtitle data (text, timestamps, language settings)
Video files are uploaded to our servers solely for the purpose of subtitle generation and are processed using automated speech recognition technology.
1.3 Device Information
For functionality and notifications, we collect:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Anonymous usage statistics
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your user account
- To process videos and generate subtitles in your selected language
- To send important notifications (e.g., when subtitle generation is complete)
- To improve the App's features, performance, and accuracy
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
3. Data Storage and Retention
Video files are stored on our secure servers only for the duration required to process and deliver the subtitle output. They are automatically deleted within 30 days after processing completes.
Account information and generated subtitles are stored as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).
4. Third-Party Services
MatnlaAI uses the following third-party services that may collect information as described in their own privacy policies:
- Google Sign-In — for authentication. Google Privacy Policy

- Speech recognition services — for converting audio to text
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- With trusted service providers (hosting, speech recognition) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements

- To protect the rights, property, or safety of MatnlaAI, our users, or the public
6. Permissions Used
The App requests the following device permissions:
- Internet — to communicate with our servers and authentication providers
- Read media (video) — to allow you to select videos for subtitle generation
- Read/Write external storage (Android 12 and below) — to access video files and save subtitle outputs
- Notifications — to inform you when subtitle processing is complete
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent and stop using the App at any time
- Export your subtitle data in standard formats

8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between the App and our servers
- Secure storage of authentication tokens using platform-provided secure storage (Android Keystore)

- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure
9. Children's Privacy
MatnlaAI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
